Sexing my strain of Coturnix quail is an easy task, once the birds are over three weeks of age they will have enough adult feathers to make the distinction.
You will find the male has a plain chestnut colour chest, the females chest is a cream colour with black speckles, it's as simple as that.
With the Golden Italian quail the same method can be used although they are not as easy to distinguish until an older age than the 3 weeks |
